OTTAWA: Starting December 1, 2024, Canada will implement higher fees for temporary resident applications, which will affect visitors, students, and workers applying to enter or extend their stay in the country.
The fee increase will apply to a range of applications, including those for individuals looking to restore their temporary resident status or request re-entry to Canada. While the Immigration, Refugees and Citizenship Canada (IRCC) has not yet revealed the updated fee amounts, applicants are encouraged to prepare for the increase and ensure they pay the correct fees when submitting their applications.
For online submissions, payments will be processed immediately, so applicants should double-check that they have submitted the correct payment to avoid delays. Submissions by email could experience processing delays, as the time between sending the application and receiving it may vary.

Applicants are advised to carefully review the fees and payment details before submitting their applications to ensure there are no delays in processing.
