TAXILA: A case has been filed against Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf leaders, including Imran Khan and KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur, in connection with the death of a police constable during a protest near Hakla Interchange.

The FIR, registered at Taxila police station, accuses PTI’s top leadership, including Imran Khan, Gandapur, Salar Khan Kakar, and Shahid Khatak, of inciting violence that led to the fatality. The case includes charges under the Pakistan Penal Code and provisions of the Anti-Terrorism Act.

According to the police complaint, the attackers were armed with tear gas guns, rubber bullets, and firearms, and used sticks and stones to assault officers. They are also accused of violating Section 144, which prohibits assembly, and of orchestrating the attack through criminal conspiracy, with PTI leadership’s involvement.

The violence resulted in the injury and abduction of Constable Mubashir Hassan, who was reportedly thrown under the Hakka Bridge after being captured by the suspects. Other officers, including Constables Adnan, Raees, and Naeem, were also injured in the confrontation. Constable Hassan was taken to the hospital but later succumbed to his injuries.
