ISLAMABAD: Prime Minister Shahbaz Sharif has criticized the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) party, calling it a “group of terrorists” rather than a political party.

He urged authorities to take legal action against PTI, stating that the group is a threat to Pakistan’s peace and stability.

Speaking during a meeting focused on law and order, PM Sharif said, “This is not PTI, it is ‘Fitna Insaf’ . Legal action must be taken against them.

PM further criticized PTI for trying to “destroy Pakistan” and questioned whether the country should be handed over to such groups. “What do they care about the IMF? They have no concern for Pakistan’s future,” he said.

He also criticized the provincial government of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa (KP) for neglecting the welfare of people in areas like Parachinar and Kurram.

The Prime Minister also recalled the disruption caused by PTI during the Shanghai Cooperation Organization (SCO) summit and the visit of Belarus’ president, when PTI announced protests during these significant events.

Sharif condemned PTI’s actions as an embarrassment to the country, saying, “The way Pakistan was humiliated internationally cannot be described. The spectacle they created is unmatched, and nothing could be more harmful to Pakistan than this.”
