Islamabad: PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui has demanded strict punishment for PTI ahead of the latest political mayhem it demonstrated.
PML-N Senator Irfan Siddiqui asked if any party in the history of the world used provincial resources against the federation. The weapons were fired, and tear gas was used, while personnel were killed, and hundreds injured.
Siddiqui questioned if any such group should be still considered a political party.
He claimed that after the events of May 9, PTI had lost its status as a legitimate political party but was still treated more leniently than needed. “The result of this tolerance is a mob, hiding behind political flags, marching toward Islamabad and leaving devastation in its wake,” he said.
He warned that when the state responds, this group will be falsely portrayed as a victim while claiming political rights. “It’s time for decisive action against PTI. Any further delay will only make the consequences more severe,” he said.
The demonstrations organized by PTI under the leadership of Bushra Bibi and KP Chief Minister Ali Amin Gandapur continue in Islamabad. Security reports state that violent demonstrations have killed four Rangers and 25 police officers so far.
