SEOUL: Starbucks has opened a unique café in South Korea offering customers a rare view of North Korea. Located at the Aegibong Peace Ecopark in Gimpo city, just 20 miles from Seoul, the café sits near the Korean Demilitarized Zone (DMZ).

The 30-seat café, which opened on November 29, gives visitors a chance to sip coffee while looking out at North Korea across the Jo River. On clear days, customers can spot farms and buildings in the North Korean town of Kaepung.

Local residents expressed hope that the café could symbolize peace between the two nations, with one customer wishing they could share their coffee with North Koreans on the other side of the border.

The site has become a new tourist attraction, with local officials emphasizing its historical and cultural significance.
