The five-member constitutional bench of the Supreme Court was headed by Justice Amin-ud-Din Khan. The case involved the Climate Change Authority. While arguing his case, Justice Khan commented that the court could deal with only such matters that had been formally presented to it.
While the case was under way, the Additional Advocate General of Khyber Pakhtunkhwa appeared via video link to express concerns about the protests that erupted in Islamabad‘s Blue Area and the scale of the operation undertaken subsequently.

Meanwhile, the Supreme Court disposed of a petition related to the integration of FATA into K-P, a petition filed by the founder of PTI.
Lawyer Babar Awan stated that the matter had already been finalized by the Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Provincial Assembly, and no further judicial action was necessary on the petition filed by the PTI founder.
