Merseyside: John Tinniswood, who held the title of the world’s oldest person, has passed away at the age of 112. According to Guinness World Records, John died on November 25 at a care home in Southport, England.
His family confirmed the news of his passing, stating that his final days were spent in good spirits.
Born on August 26, 1912, in Liverpool, England, John lived a remarkable life. He married in 1942, and his wife passed away in 1986. For many years, John received birthday cards from Queen Elizabeth II, who was approximately 14 years younger than him, until her passing in 2022.
John Tinniswood was recognized as the world’s oldest person in April 2024, after the death of 114-year-old Juan Vicente Pérez Mora of Venezuela.
