Buenos Aires: A bizarre incident unfolded in Argentina when a man was wrongfully arrested and sent to jail after his talcum powder was mistaken for cocaine by the police.

According to reports, the incident occurred when a man named Maximiliano boarded a bus from the town of Acosta Mendoza to Buenos Aires. During a routine check, the police stopped the bus and conducted a search of the passengers. They discovered 18 containers of white powder in Maximiliano’s possession.

Despite the man explaining that the powder was simply talcum powder and not drugs, the officers did not believe him. The powder was seized and sent for laboratory testing, while Maximiliano was taken into custody and sent to jail.

It took the authorities three weeks to receive the results from the lab. By the time the tests came back, confirming that the powder was indeed harmless talcum powder and not cocaine, Maximiliano had already spent weeks behind bars.

After the confirmation, the man was released from jail, and the police acknowledged their mistake.
