DUBAI:Â In the recent Test match between New Zealand and England in Christchurch, both teams have been penalized for maintaining a slow over rate.
According to an ICC statement, both teams were fined 15% of their match fees. Additionally, each team has had 3 points deducted from their World Test Championship standings.
ICC Match Referee David Boon imposed the penalties after it was noted that both New Zealand and England had failed to complete their allotted overs within the required time, each team falling short by 3 overs.
