NEW DEHLI: Indian media has claimed that the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy will be held under a hybrid model, with matches played in Pakistan and Dubai.
According to the reports, the International Cricket Council (ICC) and India have agreed to all the conditions set by the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB).
The reports state that during an unofficial meeting, the ICC approved the hybrid model, and a principal agreement was reached between Pakistan and India. However, there has been no formal written agreement yet.
Indian media also reported that Pakistan will not travel to India for the 2026 T20 World Cup, and the group-stage match between the two teams will be held in Colombo. Furthermore, Pakistan will not receive any financial compensation in this arrangement.
Additionally, Pakistan is set to host the ICC Women’s Tournament in 2027, while decisions regarding the knockout matches of the 2026 T20 World Cup will be finalized later.
