Dubai: Vaibhav Suryavanshi, the youngest player in the Indian Premier League (IPL), failed to impress in his debut match for India Under-19 in the U19 Asia Cup. The 13-year-old, recently bought by Rajasthan Royals for Rs 1.1 crore, was dismissed for just 1 run against Pakistan.The match, held at Dubai Stadium, saw Pakistan beat India by 44 runs in the group-stage opener on Saturday. India, chasing a target of 282 runs, was bowled out for 239 in 47 overs.

Suryavanshi’s Tough Debut
Suryavanshi’s performance did not meet the high expectations set by his IPL purchase. He was dismissed early, leaving fans disappointed. Social media was divided, with some critics pointing out his failure to live up to the IPL hype, while others urged patience, stating he needed more time to prove himself.

Pakistan’s Strong Performance
Earlier, Pakistan posted an impressive total of 281/7 in their 50 overs. Shahzaib Khan was the star for Pakistan, scoring a brilliant 159 runs, also contributed with a solid 60 runs.

India’s Struggles
India’s batting failed to build partnerships, and they fell short of the target. Despite a few notable contributions, the team could not recover from the early setbacks.

Suryavanshi’s disappointing debut comes after his excellent performances for India Under-19, including a record-breaking century against Australia. Fans are hopeful that the young talent will bounce back in future matches.
