DUBAI: The Chairman of the Pakistan Cricket Board (PCB), Mohsin Naqvi, has made it clear that Pakistan will not accept one-sided decisions regarding the Champions Trophy.

Speaking in Dubai, Mohsin Naqvi stated that any decision made will also apply to future ICC events. He emphasized that decisions must be fair and made on equal terms.

“We will ensure that the decisions benefit both the country and cricket,” he said. “We cannot go to India while they refuse to come here. That’s not acceptable.”

Mohsin Naqvi also pointed out that discussions should not only focus on the Champions Trophy but must look at long-term planning for tournaments. A fair and clear formula for future events must be established.

Reports from Indian media suggest that the PCB has conditionally agreed to the hybrid model for the Champions Trophy. However, Pakistan’s condition is that this model should also apply to future ICC events held in India. If India refuses to play in Pakistan, Pakistan expects the same arrangement for future events.

The decision on whether the Champions Trophy will be held in Pakistan or not remains undecided. The International Cricket Council (ICC) meeting, scheduled to discuss the matter, has been postponed until tomorrow.
