BLANTYRE: Pakistan defeated Zimbabwe by 10 wickets in the second match of the three-match T20 series, securing an unbeatable 2-0 lead in the series.

Zimbabwe’s captain Sikandar Raza winning the toss and opting to bat first. However, this decision backfired as Zimbabwe’s batting line collapsed under pressure from bowlers. Zimbabwean team was bowled out for just 57 runs in 12.4 overs.

At one point, Zimbabwe was comfortably placed at 37 runs without losing a wicket, but then a dramatic collapse saw them lose 10 wickets for just an additional 20 runs.

Only two batsmen managed to reach double figures: Brian Bennett and Marumani. Pakistan’s bowlers dominated, and Zimbabwe’s total of 58 runs was all Pakistan needed to claim victory.

Sufiyan Maqeem was the standout bowler for Pakistan, taking 5 wickets for just 3 runs. Abbas Afridi took 2 wickets, while Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Salman Ali Agha each claimed 1 wicket.

In response, Pakistan easily chased down the modest target of 58 runs, achieving the target in just 6 overs without losing a wicket. Openers Ameer Bin Yusuf scored 22 runs, and Saim Ayub made 36 runs, both remaining not out at the end.

There were no changes to Pakistan’s team for this match. The lineup for the second T20 included captain Salman Agha, Saim Ayub, Ameer Bin Yusuf, Usman Khan, Tayyab Tahir, Irfan Khan, Jehandad Khan, Abbas Afridi, Haris Rauf, Abrar Ahmed, and Sufiyan Maqeem.
