ISLAMABAD: The Federal Board of Revenue (FBR) has enforced new rules, prohibiting the import of commercial goods and allowing only one mobile phone per traveler for personal use. According to the FBR notification, any goods valued over $1,200 will be classified as commercial and subject to restrictions. Additional mobile phones brought into the country will be confiscated. Furthermore, no goods exceeding the allowed personal baggage limits will be cleared, regardless of duties or penalties.
This move is aimed at curbing smuggling and regulating the flow of commercial items under the guise of personal baggage.
