Cape Town:Â The second ODI between Pakistan and South Africa will be played in Cape Town tomorrow at 5:00 PM local time.
Pakistan currently leads the three-match series 1-0 after a close three-wicket win in the opening game in Paarl.
Batting first, South Africa managed 239 runs for nine wickets in their allotted 50 overs. Heinrich Klaassen contributed 86 runs, smashing seven fours and two sixes. Ryan Rickelton added 36 runs, while Aiden Markram chipped in with 35 to support the total.
Pakistan’s Salman Ali Agha bowled brilliantly, claiming four wickets, while Abrar Ahmed bagged two crucial dismissals.
In response, Pakistan successfully chased the 240-run target with just three balls remaining. Saim Ayub led the charge with a stunning 109 runs, including 10 boundaries and three sixes. Salman Agha delivered a match-winning unbeaten 82 runs to ensure Pakistan’s victory.
The result sets the stage for an exciting second ODI as Pakistan aims to seal the series. South Africa will strive for a comeback to level the contest.
