NEWS YORK: Sheikh Hasina, former Bangladesh PM, accused Mohammad Yunus of masterminding mass killings in the country.
In a virtual address, She denied accusations of her involvement and blamed Yunus for the violence.
Hasina claimed there was a plot to assassinate her, similar to the killing of her father, Sheikh Mujibur Rahman.
She stated that if her security forces had fired, many people would have died, but she avoided it.
She criticized Yunus for planning mass killings with student coordinators and instigating violence against civilians and minorities, questioned why religious minorities, including churches and temples, were targeted during the violence in Bangladesh.
Hasina has been living in India since August after her removal from office.
