MELBOURNE: In an unusual turn of events, Victoria Police were called to a bizarre scene on the Monash Freeway yesterday after a woman reported a tiger snake had slithered up her leg while driving.
The woman, visibly shaken but unharmed, told officers she was navigating traffic when she felt the snake making its way up her leg. With quick thinking and remarkable composure, she managed to safely pull over into the emergency lane and remove the snake without causing harm to herself or other road users.
Police quickly arrived on the scene, but rather than dealing with a criminal, they called in wildlife experts to safely relocate the venomous creature. Onlookers were left stunned as the snake was carefully extracted from the vehicle.
As Victoria Police put it, “No two days are the same,” and this unusual welfare check will certainly go down as one of the more unforgettable calls for help.
