Hubballi: In a tragic incident in Karnataka, a man named Peter took his own life, reportedly unable to bear abuse by his wife.
Note Reveals Allegations Against Wife
According to Indian media, a suicide note was found near Peter’s body, accusing his wife, Pinky, of abuse. The note addressed to his father read, “Daddy, forgive me. My wife Pinky is beating me. She wants me dead. I am dying because of her abuse.”
Family Confirms Marital Discord
Peter’s family confirmed that he had been experiencing issues with his wife for the last three months. His brother Joel said Peter’s body was discovered at home around 12:30 PM on Sunday, shortly after returning from church.
The couple had been married for two years but had ongoing disputes. Legal proceedings were also underway in court regarding their marital issues.
Accusations of Emotional and Financial Pressure
Peter’s father claimed his son suffered mental stress due to his wife’s behavior and demands from her family. He stated, “My son was under constant stress due to her abusive behavior and their family’s demands. She even told him that she wouldn’t return to him, even if he died.”
The father further alleged that Peter lost his job following an argument with his wife at his workplace, adding to his emotional distress.
Demand for Justice
The family also accused Pinky’s brother of demanding ₹2 million in compensation as part of their divorce case. Peter’s father urged authorities to investigate the circumstances leading to his son’s death thoroughly.
The suicide note has been taken into police custody, and the case is under investigation.
