LAHORE: On Tuesday, Police Inspector Saifullah Niazi was shot dead by a shopkeeper in Lahore‘s Shera Kot area.
The inspector was on duty at the Motorway Babu Sabu Interchange when a conflict broke out with the shopkeeper.
Conflict Escalates to Fatal Shooting
Sources revealed that a minor disagreement escalated, leading to the shopkeeper opening fire on the inspector.
Niazi succumbed to his injuries and was pronounced dead at the scene of the shooting.
Suspect Arrested Quickly
A Dolphin Police team quickly arrived at the site and arrested the shopkeeper identified as Adeel.
The accused was taken to the Shera Kot police station for further processing.
Murder Weapon Recovered
Police claim they have recovered the weapon used in the crime from the arrested shopkeeper, Adeel.
The investigation continues as authorities look into the circumstances surrounding the tragic incident.
