LAHORE: Lahore police have cracked a targeted killing case from January 1 in Sabzazar, arresting the suspect who killed a man in exchange for two Umrah tickets.
The alleged hitman, Usman, was hired by his brother-in-law, Imtiaz, to murder a man named Riyaz. Police revealed that the arrangement included two Umrah tickets, a motorcycle, and Rs. 30,000 as payment.
Property Dispute Fuels Tragedy
The killing stemmed from a property dispute, investigators confirmed. Riyaz was shopping with his wife in the Badami Bagh area of Lahore when Usman and Imtiaz attacked him, fatally shooting him.
Police tracked the assassin by following a call made to Riyaz’s mobile before the attack. Shockingly, Usman even attended Riyaz’s funeral to avoid suspicion.
Mastermind at Large
Police stated they are closing in on Imtiaz, the crime’s mastermind, who promised the payment for the hit. Authorities are committed to bringing him to justice soon.
