Raigarh: Anusha Gupta, three months pregnant, and her disabled parents were allegedly assaulted by in-laws in Chhattisgarh.
The attack happened at Tenda Navapara village after Anusha sought help following her abandonment by her husband.
Her husband, SSB jawan Madhusudan Gupta, abandoned her near Dongargarh during their return journey from Uttarakhand.
Anusha, left stranded, went with her parents to her in-laws’ residence in search of support but faced brutality.

Video Captures Heinous Incident

A video shows her in-laws using foul language and encouraging others to harm Anusha, targeting her stomach.
Anusha’s mother-in-law reportedly dragged her out of a car, threw her down, and violently attacked her.
“I was kicked, hit with slippers, and beaten despite my pregnancy,” Anusha tearfully recounted.
Her father was beaten with a cricket bat, sustaining injuries during the three-hour assault, Anusha revealed.

Marriage Opposed by Husband’s Family
Anusha, a nurse, married Madhusudan in September 2024 in an Arya Samaj ceremony in Bilaspur against his family’s wishes.
The couple, who met on Facebook, lived in Uttarakhand due to Madhusudan’s posting as an SSB jawan.
The in-laws called Anusha, claiming they wanted to reconcile, but allegedly orchestrated the attack when she arrived.
Her husband arranged her train ticket through his brother and abandoned her before reaching their destination.

Pusaur police station Register Case Against In-Laws
A complaint was filed at Pusaur police station against Madhusudan’s parents and relatives for the brutal attack.
Raigarh Additional SP Akash Markam confirmed that a case was registered and efforts are ongoing to locate Madhusudan.
