NEW DEHLI: Two women in India married each other after leaving their abusive husbands due to ongoing mistreatment.

Instagram Connection Leads to Marriage

The incident occurred in Gorakhpur, Uttar Pradesh. Kavita and Gunja, also known as Bablu, decided to marry at a Shiva temple. The women initially connected on Instagram, where their bond quickly strengthened, eventually evolving into a relationship over six years.

Both women faced emotional struggles in their marriages and found solace in one another’s companionship.

Life of Abuse Leads to Breaking Point

Kavita disclosed that her alcoholic husband regularly abused her. She endured violence for years while caring for four children. Eventually, she decided to return to her parents’ home to escape the ongoing torment.

Gunja recounted that her husband was also an alcoholic who falsely accused her of infidelity. This constant mistreatment left her with no choice but to leave him.

Choosing Peace and Love Together

“We were tired of our husbands’ abusive behavior and alcoholism,” one of the women explained. Desiring a life of peace, they opted to live as a couple in Gorakhpur.
