Bisha: Saudi Arabia’s Yazeed Al-Rajhi emerged triumphant in the car class during the Dakar Rally’s marathon second stage in Bisha.

Al-Rajhi, driving for the Overdrive team, clocked 10 hours, 56 minutes, and 54 seconds to secure his stage win.
South African Henk Lategan from Toyota Gazoo claimed second, trailing by four minutes and 16 seconds.
Qatar’s Nasser Al-Attiyah, a five-time Dakar champion, finished third, 6 minutes and 29 seconds behind Al-Rajhi.

Lategan Tops Overall Car Rankings

Despite Al-Rajhi’s win, Henk Lategan leads the general car classification with a time of 15 hours, 40 minutes, and 30 seconds.
Al-Rajhi holds the second position in the overall standings, just four minutes and 45 seconds behind Lategan.
The car class race promises an exciting battle as competitors push through the grueling stages of the 2025 Dakar Rally.

Sanders Maintains Unstoppable Streak in Bike Class
Australia’s Daniel Sanders dominated the bike class, winning his third consecutive stage, including the prologue.
Riding for Red Bull KTM, Sanders finished with a time of 11 hours, 12 minutes, and 13 seconds in the second stage.
French rider Adrien Van Beveren and American Skyler Howes, both from Monster Energy Honda, secured second and third.
Sanders leads the general bike classification, 12 minutes and 36 seconds ahead of Howes after the second stage.

Upcoming Challenges Await Racers
The third stage, spanning 495 kilometers from Bisha to Al Henakiyah, is scheduled for Tuesday.
The 47th edition of the Dakar Rally will push competitors to their limits across Saudi Arabia’s challenging terrains.
The event is set to conclude on January 17 in Shubaytah, marking the end of an epic two-week motorsport adventure.
