The International Cricket Council (ICC) has announced the prize money breakdown for the 2025 ICC Champions Trophy, with the winning team set to receive a massive $2.24 million. The tournament, scheduled to begin next week, will see eight of the world’s top ODI teams competing for glory.
Champions Trophy 2025 Prize Money Distribution
The total prize pool for the tournament has surged by 53% from the last edition in 2017, reaching an impressive $6.9 million. Here’s how the winnings will be distributed:
- 🏆 Winners – $2.24 million
- 🥈 Runners-up – $1.12 million
- ⚔️ Semi-finalists (losing teams) – $560,000 each
- 🎖 Teams finishing 5th & 6th – $350,000 each
- 📉 Teams finishing 7th & 8th – $140,000 each
- 💰 Participation fee for all eight teams – $125,000 each
Additionally, every group stage victory will earn teams an extra $34,000, making each match even more crucial.
Champions Trophy Back in Pakistan After 29 Years
