Married Woman Elopes with Loan Recovery Agent

New Dehi: In Bihar, India, a woman left her “abusive and alcoholic” husband for a loan recovery agent. Indira Kumari married Nikhil Sharma in 2022 but faced constant physical and mental abuse.

Indira met Poon Kumar Yadav, a loan recovery agent, during payment collections. Their professional interactions turned into a secret friendship, then love.

For five months, Indira and Poon kept their relationship hidden. On February 4, they fled to West Bengal for safety.

After staying with Indira’s aunt, the couple returned to Jamui on February 11. They married in a Hindu temple.

Poon’s family accepted the marriage, but Indira’s opposed it, filing an FIR against him. The couple sought police protection.
