Colorado: Investigators in Arapahoe County are seeking the public’s help to identify three suspects involved in a puppy theft.
The incident took place at Perfect Pets, located at 6840 S. University Blvd, on February 23 at 1:30 p.m.
Three men entered the store separately, walked around, and asked employees questions about two bulldog puppies.
The puppies, priced at $4,299 each, were kept in a locked pen at the back of the store.
One suspect faked a seizure to distract employees while another grabbed both puppies from the unlocked pen.

Puppies Stolen

After removing the top of the enclosure, the suspect took both puppies and quickly exited the store.
The third suspect assisted in creating a diversion while the theft occurred.
Deputies say the suspects coordinated their actions to make the crime appear unnoticeable.
The pet store employees only realized the theft after the suspects had already left.
Authorities are reviewing surveillance footage and seeking information to identify the individuals involved.

One Puppy Found

A Good Samaritan returned one of the stolen puppies after recognizing it from a news story.
She purchased the puppy for $1,500 from a street vendor in north Denver.
After seeing the report, she immediately contacted Perfect Pets and confirmed it was the missing dog.
The store expressed gratitude and announced they would reward the woman for returning the puppy.
Deputies are now investigating the vendor who sold the stolen puppy.

Ongoing Investigation

Law enforcement is asking anyone with information about the second missing puppy to come forward.
Investigators are urging the public to report suspicious pet sales or unusual activities.
Authorities believe the second stolen puppy may still be in the Denver area.
Surveillance footage may help law enforcement track down the remaining suspects.
Officials warn potential buyers to be cautious when purchasing pets from unauthorized sellers.

Public Assistance Needed

Deputies encourage witnesses or those with information to contact the Arapahoe County Sheriff’s Office.
The pet store hopes for the safe return of the second puppy.
Authorities stress the importance of purchasing pets only from licensed sellers.
Anyone with leads on the suspects’ identities is urged to call law enforcement.
This case highlights the risks of illegal pet sales and theft in the community.
