NEW DEHLI: A young man in Karnataka, India, killed a woman after she refused to marry him and then took his own life.
According to Indian media, 29-year-old Prashant Kundekar murdered 20-year-old Aishwarya Mahesh at her aunt’s home.
Reports state Prashant had been following Aishwarya for a year, claiming to be in love with her.
He once approached Aishwarya’s mother, who advised him to improve his financial situation before considering marriage.
On the day of the incident, Prashant again insisted on marriage, but Aishwarya firmly refused his proposal.
Horrific Attack
After rejection, Prashant took out a bottle of poison and forced Aishwarya to consume it.
When she resisted, he used a knife to slit her throat in a brutal attack.
Following the murder, Prashant turned the knife on himself and committed suicide at the scene.
Both were found dead at the location, shocking the local community.
Police have launched an investigation into the tragic case.
