South YorkShire: A Sheffield woman has been jailed for criminal damage and violating a Criminal Behaviour Order (CBO).
On 14 August 2024, 31-year-old Chantelle Sykes, of Pollard Crescent, breached a CBO issued by Doncaster Magistrates’ Court. She entered Sheffield Bus Interchange for an unauthorized reason.
Later, on 24 August, Sykes vandalized a South Yorkshire Police Mercedes Sprinter, causing £100 in damages.
She was arrested on 25 August and appeared before Sheffield Magistrates’ Court the following day.
Sykes pleaded guilty to both charges and was sentenced on 27 February to eight weeks in prison.
Three-Year CBO
The court also issued her a three-year Criminal Behaviour Order.
Her conviction reinforces efforts to maintain order and enforce court-imposed restrictions on offenders.

Serial Shoplifter Jailed
A Sheffield man has been jailed for multiple shoplifting offenses after stealing goods worth around £3,000.
Lee Gardener, 36, of White Thorns Drive, appeared in Sheffield Magistrates’ Court on 3 March.
He faced 13 theft charges linked to a shoplifting spree between 3 January and 2 March.
Gardener was arrested on 3 March, bringing his repeated criminal activity to an end.
The court sentenced him to one year in prison and ordered him to pay £750 in compensation.

On 27 February at 2:38 PM, a man stole several items from Tesco Express on Barnsley Road.
A staff member managed to recover some stolen goods before the suspect fled.

He is described as a white male, in his mid-20s, around 6ft tall, with short brown hair and a neck tattoo.
