Battery Case

A 22-year-old Indiana man, Christian Croy, faces charges for aggravated battery involving a firearm. He allegedly shot and injured a 44-year-old woman on December 27, 2024, in Chicago’s 6th District. The U.S. Marshals and Chicago Police arrested him on March 20, 2025, in Indianapolis. Authorities secured a felony warrant, and he will appear in court for a detention hearing on March 22.

Attempted Murder

Chenault Williams, 42, was arrested for attempted murder after allegedly shooting and critically injuring a 22-year-old woman. The incident occurred on March 18, 2025, in Chicago’s 11th District. Police arrested Williams on March 21, 2025, with assistance from the U.S. Marshals. He faces multiple felony and misdemeanor charges, including aggravated battery and domestic battery. His detention hearing is scheduled for March 22.

Child Endangerment

Derrick Taylor, 32, was charged with causing the death of an 8-year-old boy on March 20, 2025. Police say he possessed a firearm illegally and was responsible for the fatal shooting in Chicago’s 3rd District. Officers arrested him the same day. Taylor faces charges of child endangerment resulting in death and illegal firearm possession. He remains in custody, with a court appearance set for March 22.

Teen Murder Case

A 15-year-old male suspect was arrested for allegedly murdering a 16-year-old girl on March 17, 2025. Authorities say he fatally stabbed and assaulted her in Chicago’s 11th District. The police took him into custody on March 23, 2025, after linking him to the crime. He is charged with first-degree murder and awaits further court proceedings.
