Khosa explained that the influential circles told Khyber Pakhtunkhwa Chief Minister Ali Amin Khan that they were willing to release Imran Khan if the protests were called off first. He said they were told that if they could sit in Sangjani (a place near Islamabad) for a few days, Khan would be released. However, Khosa called this a tactic to delay the process.
He further revealed that there were some clear conditions for Khan’s release. They were told to postpone the protests first, after which Khan would be freed. Khosa mentioned that they rejected this offer, saying they wouldn’t accept such a “false promise” and insisted on Imran Khan’s immediate release.
The PTI leaders also suggested that Imran Khan himself should announce the end of the protests. However, they were told that if they sat in Sangjani, Khan would be released.
