DAMASCUS: Syrian Army Chief General Abdel Karim Mahmoud Ibrahim reassured the nation in a speech, urging the public not to listen to rebel fabrications.
According to Arab media reports from Damascus, General Ibrahim stated that the Syrian military is continuing efforts to quell the rebellion. He confirmed that the army has launched intense attacks on rebels, eliminating a significant number of militants.
The Army Chief also highlighted the presence of military units in rural areas to protect civilians from rebel forces, expressing confidence that, with the public’s support, the rebellion will soon be defeated.
