BEIJING: A groundbreaking robot designed to help prevent crimes has been developed in China. The robot, named RTG, was created by the robotics company Logan Technology.
According to the company, this technological advancement allows the robot to assist humans in dangerous environments and potentially replace them in certain tasks. The RTG can operate in both land and water, reaching speeds of up to 35 kilometers per hour and withstanding shocks of up to 4 tons.
While it can work in water, on rocky surfaces, and in mud, its primary use will be in urban areas, where it can help identify and prevent criminal activity. Equipped with advanced Artificial Intelligence (AI) software, the robot can patrol the streets and work alongside police officers.
The company claims the RTG can not only track criminals but also prevent crimes from occurring. Its AI system enables it to detect unusual situations and environmental hazards, while its facial recognition technology allows it to identify potential criminals.
In some areas of China, the robot has already been seen patrolling alongside police officers, marking a significant step in the use of AI for public safety. The company believes the RTG could become a key tool in future crime prevention efforts.
