GAZA: Israeli airstrikes killed at least 10 Palestinians and injured 25 in Gaza early Sunday after the ceasefire deadline passed.
Ongoing Bombardment
“The bombing is still ongoing across Gaza City and northern areas,” said Mahmoud Basal, Gaza’s civil defense spokesperson.
Six victims were killed in the Al-Shaaf neighborhood, three in northern Gaza, and one in Rafah, officials reported.
Delay in Ceasefire Agreement
The strikes followed delays in the ceasefire deal. Israel demanded Hamas provide hostage names before the truce could begin.
Hamas attributed the delay to “technical” reasons but did not provide further clarification on the matter.
Strain on Gaza Hospitals
Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital officials noted an influx of wounded individuals and warned of increasing casualties if strikes continued.
This incident highlights ongoing tensions and uncertainties surrounding the ceasefire agreement implementation.
