WASHINGTON: U.S. President Donald Trump slammed a federal judge’s ruling restricting Elon Musk’s department, calling it “100% wrong and complete madness.”
In an interview with Fox News , Trump strongly opposed the decision, stating, “Blocking Musk’s department is absurd. The government aims to prevent fraud in institutions.”
He emphasized that such legal interference could negatively impact businesses and technological advancements in the country.
Trudeau’s Statement
During the interview, Trump was asked about Canadian Prime Minister Justin Trudeau’s claim that Trump wanted Canada as a U.S. state.
Trump responded, “Yes, absolutely. The U.S. loses $200 billion annually due to Canadian subsidies.”
He added, “If Canada becomes the 51st U.S. state, the subsidy issue will no longer exist.”
Vice President’s View
U.S. Vice President Mike Pence also criticized the judge’s ruling, comparing it to interfering in military operations.
Pence argued, “A judge shouldn’t dictate military strategies to a general—that would be completely wrong.”
He further added, “Judges should not have the authority to obstruct executive decision-making in legal or policy matters.”
Legal and Political Impact
Trump’s remarks sparked strong debates about judicial authority and its impact on executive actions.
Many supporters backed Trump, saying excessive legal intervention can slow economic progress and restrict innovation.
However, some experts argued that judicial oversight is essential to maintain checks and balances in government decisions.
With Trump’s firm stance on Canada and his criticism of judicial rulings, political tensions continue to rise.
