Washington: U.S. President Donald Trump criticizes Zelensky, calling him a “dictator” and blaming him for Ukraine’s struggles in the ongoing war with Russia.

Trump’s Harsh Words for Zelensky

Trump expressed his frustration over Ukraine’s current situation, stating:

“Zelensky better move fast or he is not going to have a country left.”

He went on to claim that millions of people have died unnecessarily and that Ukraine has been left in ruins under Zelensky’s leadership. Trump also insisted that he supports Ukraine but believes its president has “done a terrible job.”

Trump’s Claim About Peace Negotiations

In the same post, Trump claimed the U.S. is working to end the Russia-Ukraine war.

 He wrote:

“The U.S. is successfully negotiating an end to the war with Russia.”

However, he did not provide any details or evidence to support this claim. His comments come at a time when tensions remain high, and there is no official confirmation of a peace deal in progress.

Ukraine’s Struggle in the War

The war in Ukraine has lasted for over two years, with heavy losses on both sides. Russian forces continue to launch attacks on Ukrainian cities, while Ukraine fights to defend its territory. Zelensky has consistently called for more Western support, urging the U.S. and NATO allies to provide military aid.

Political Reactions to Trump’s Remarks

Trump’s comments have sparked backlash, with critics accusing him of undermining Ukraine’s leadership. Many U.S. officials support continued aid to Ukraine, while Trump has questioned the billions of dollars in military assistance provided by the U.S.

What’s Next?

As the 2024 U.S. presidential election approaches, Trump’s stance on Ukraine could shape American foreign policy. If he returns to office, his approach to Ukraine and relations with Russia could take a new direction.

For now, Zelensky remains focused on defending Ukraine, while Trump’s latest remarks add fuel to the ongoing debate over U.S. involvement in the war.
