WASHINGTON: President Donald Trump emphasized pulling the U.S. out of various global agreements and organizations during his congressional address.

Trump stated his administration was bringing change by withdrawing from the Paris Climate Accord, WHO, and UN Human Rights Council.

He called it a time for “big dreams and bold action”, stressing the need for policies that prioritize America’s future.

His administration, he said, was dedicated to enacting bold reforms to reshape domestic and foreign policies.

Trump highlighted several executive actions that align with his vision for deregulation and national sovereignty.

Policy Changes

Among his key actions, Trump imposed a freeze on federal hiring, regulations, and foreign aid to limit government expansion.

He introduced a directive requiring the removal of ten old regulations for every new regulation created.

Environmental policies from the Biden era were reversed, aiming to boost energy production and remove business restrictions.

Additionally, Trump ordered federal employees to return to offices, reversing remote work policies from the previous administration.

These steps, he claimed, were necessary to restore economic growth and strengthen national security.

America First

Trump stated his administration’s policies prioritize American sovereignty and economic independence over global commitments.

He argued that withdrawing from international agreements allowed for greater control over domestic affairs and economic policies.

His focus remains on reducing government overreach and ensuring that U.S. policies benefit American workers and businesses.

Trump reaffirmed that America must lead by example, rather than being bound by external regulations and global organizations.

He pledged to continue implementing policies that align with his “America First” agenda.
