WASHINGTON: A cat that had been stuck in a tree for five days in Washington, D.C., has been safely rescued. The feline had been perched high in a tree at Othello’s Lines Park, enduring cold temperatures, rain, and snow during its time stranded.

According to reports, a rescue worker climbed a 10-foot ladder and then scaled an additional 4 feet to reach the cat, successfully bringing it down to safety. The cat was found wearing a collar, but no identification tag was attached.

The dramatic rescue has captured attention, as the cat’s ordeal lasted nearly a week before it was brought to the ground unharmed.
