ISTANBUL: The founder of the famous European fashion chain, Mango, Isak Andic, tragically died after falling into a ravine during a hiking trip.

According to foreign media reports, 71-year-old Isak Andic was the founder of the renowned Spanish clothing brand Mango, which has 2,800 stores worldwide, including across Europe.

Reports indicate that Andic fell to his death on Saturday while hiking in the mountainous area near Barcelona.

The company has not provided further details regarding his death, but Spanish media has reported that Andic was hiking with family members in the Barcelona hills at the time.

Spanish Prime Minister Pedro Sánchez expressed his condolences over Andic’s death, paying tribute to his contributions to the fashion industry.

Isaac Andic, who was known for keeping a low public profile, was one of Spain’s wealthiest individuals. According to Forbes, Andic and his family’s assets are valued at $4.5 billion.
