Texas: Fast-food giant KFC moves headquarters to Texas, relocating from Louisville, Kentucky, to Plano. The move is part of Yum Brands’ restructuring plan to strengthen operations.

KFC is shifting to Plano, Texas, as part of Yum Brands’ strategy to create two key headquarters for its major brands.
– KFC and Pizza Hut will operate from Plano, Texas.
– Taco Bell and Habit Burger will remain in Irvine, California.
David Gibbs, CEO of Yum Brands said the move aims to support sustainable growth and improve service for customers, employees, and franchisees.
Kentucky Governor Disappointed Â
Kentucky’s Governor Andy Beshear expressed disappointment over the decision, stating:
“This company’s name starts with Kentucky, and it has marketed our state’s heritage and culture in the sale of its product.”
Despite the move, some operations will stay in Kentucky, including the KFC Foundation.
