FAISALABAD: In a tragic incident near Faisalabad, Punjab, an 18-year-old newlywed girl lost her life just two days after her wedding while filming a TikTok video.
Fatima, the young woman, was attempting to create a memorable video in her bedroom with her mother and younger sister present. She retrieved a pistol, apparently belonging to her husband, from a cupboard to use as a prop for the video.
During the recording, Fatima placed the pistol in her mouth and accidentally pulled the trigger, causing a fatal shot. She collapsed onto her flower-decorated bed.
Speaking about the devastating incident, Fatima’s father, Muhammad Abbas, said, “My daughter would occasionally make TikTok videos and was in a cheerful mood that day. She wanted to create something special but didn’t know how to handle the pistol.”
He mentioned that his wife and younger daughter were present and witnessed the entire incident. I immediately informed the police about what happened.”
The tragic incident has left the family and community in shock, highlighting the dangers of mishandling firearms and the risks associated with social media stunts. Authorities are investigating the matter.
