DAMASCUS: Syria’s Civil Defence has announced a cash reward for anyone providing solid information about secret prisons, including the infamous Saydnaya prison. This comes as rescue teams and families of the missing search for loved ones following the fall of President Bashar al-Assad’s regime.
The White Helmets, Syria’s Civil Defence group, are focused on locating underground prisons, where detainees are reportedly held.
They have called on former prison staff to share electronic codes of these underground cells to help free those imprisoned. Authorities are also monitoring these locations through CCTV footage in the prison’s control room.
