Washington: President Donald Trump has issued a strong warning to Iran, demanding an immediate halt to its military support for Yemen’s Houthi rebels.

In a post on Truth Social, Trump claimed that although Iran has reduced some military aid, it is still supplying the Houthis with significant resources. He insisted that Iran must cease these shipments immediately.

Trump’s Direct Warning

“Reports are coming in that while Iran has lessened its intensity on Military Equipment and General Support to the Houthis, they are still sending large levels of Supplies. Iran must stop the sending of these Supplies IMMEDIATELY,” Trump wrote.

The former president also stated that the Houthis should fight on their own without Iranian assistance. He predicted that the Houthis would lose, but without Iran’s help, their defeat would come faster.

Trump Predicts Total Defeat

“Let the Houthis fight it out themselves,” Trump added. “Either way, they lose, but this way, they lose quickly. Tremendous damage has been inflicted upon the Houthi barbarians, and watch how it will get progressively worse — It’s not even a fair fight, and never will be. They will be completely annihilated!”

Context of Trump’s Statement

Trump’s warning follows recent U.S. military action against Houthi targets in Yemen. Over the weekend, American forces launched what Trump described as “decisive” strikes against the Iran-backed rebel group. The strikes were part of ongoing efforts to curb Houthi aggression in the region.

The Houthis, who control significant parts of Yemen, have been accused of targeting international shipping routes and escalating tensions in the Middle East. The U.S. and its allies have repeatedly condemned Iran for supplying weapons and financial aid to the group.

Rising Tensions in the Middle East

Iran has long denied direct involvement in Houthi military operations, but Western intelligence suggests Tehran continues to provide drones, missiles, and other support. The situation remains highly volatile, with the U.S. and its allies closely monitoring Iranian activities.

Trump’s latest remarks add to the pressure on Iran as global powers attempt to stabilize the Middle East. Whether Iran will respond to the warning remains to be seen.
