Rawalpindi: The Anti-Terrorism Court (ATC) in Rawalpindi has approved a six-day physical remand for PTI founder Imran Khan in connection with a case related to inciting a protest on September 28.

During the hearing, which took place at Adiala Jail, Judge Amjad Ali Shah heard arguments from both Imran Khan’s defense lawyer and the government prosecutor regarding the case. Public Prosecutor Zaheer Shah had requested an additional 15-day physical remand for the former Prime Minister, but this plea was rejected by the court.

Instead, the court granted the prosecution six more days to hold Khan in police custody, and ordered that he be presented again on December 2.

Imran Khan is facing charges related to allegedly inciting a protest in Rawalpindi on September 28. His previous five-day remand in the case had already been approved. Khan’s arrest in this case followed his recent bail in the Toshakhana case.
